I have to be honest and tell you that when I started planning Destination Weddings over 15 years ago I had little experience.

I had been a sucessful event planner and worked in Travel Reporting in Hong Kong and UK and did have extensive travel knowledge but in 2005 there were 2 companies in Canada who specialized in Destination Weddings and Mine was one of them. Fast forward to 2020 and it would seem that any travel agent or event planner does Destination Weddings and I say BUYER BEWARE!

Far too many things can go wrong when booking a Destination Wedding and it is ever more important that you book with an expert.

Logistics and Nightmares and why you need a PRO

In My First year of planning Destination Weddings I planned 8 weddings. In my second 28 weddings and third I planned 72 Destination Weddings. - Of course by that time I had a team of specialists who are the best in the business.

Destination weddings are very challenging and have many moving parts. Over the years I have educated or even you could say “WEDucated” myself with as many procedures, perfect locations, rules, regulations and customs that I could and made sure I knew everything I needed to know about planning and working in another country.

The travel is another important part of your booking and when you plan a wedding overseas you probably have many friends and family booking from different locations, wanting to fly on different days and stay in different room types with one, two or three people with no kids, one, two or more kids and many other questions about their travel, their diet restrictions or their personal travel challenges and all this we can take care of. It sure gets complicated!

Our team will help you decide where is the perfect place for you and your group based on your wishes. We will never ask you “Where do you want to go?” We work like a realtor. You should expect us to know the places personally and to be able to suggest the perfect backdrop to your perfect day/Week, of celebration.

Booking as a group usually means you will get something back which we pass on to you. That means that with as few as 12 people you may get to travel free and with a small group of 24 both you and your fiancee can travel free. (Not always and it does depend on the location but if cost for the two of you is an issue then we will find these deals for you - part of our process is choosing the right perks to make it work for you and your group)

We work like “realtors of Travel”. We like to meet in person or via Skype/zoom with all the people who will be making the decision so either just the two of you or perhaps including your parents or maid of honour but we do advise limiting the decision makers as it becomes a big mess with too many “cooks”.

When we meet we ask you questions like what are your key “must haves’ and ‘don’t wants’ and we find out exactly what will make your “Wedding Holiday” Perfect.

We don’t ask you where you want to go and how much you want to spend as we feel that really should be our job. We have probably been there. I have planned over 1500 weddings so I really should be able to advise you on wedding locations to suit your unique needs. I personally have been married twice. Once in Venice and once in Hong Kong. I’m British and now live in Canada and have planned weddings in Europe, Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Canada and on Cruises. I am here to help. As much as you need! No time limit on helping you to get the right place… I want you to have the same emotional connection as when you say “Yes to the Dress”

My meeting with you is always free.  I am committed to helping you and the entire process is all about you but you still need to know you are in good hands.
